Refer a Child
Anyone can refer a child to Early Intervention Colorado!
If you or someone else has a concern about the way a baby or toddler is growing or developing, Early Intervention (EI) Colorado can help. An EI Colorado evaluation will determine if a child could use some extra support or if they are right on track.
The first step to get an EI Colorado evaluation for a child (at no cost to the family) is to make a referral to the EI Colorado program.
Making a referral to EI Colorado is quick and easy. Depending on your preference, you can make a referral online, by phone, email, or fax:
- Complete the online referral form
- Call 833-733-3734 (833-REFER-EI)
- Email*: GetStartedwithEI@state.co.us
- Download the referral form and fax to 303-866-5944
A child may be automatically eligible for Early Intervention services if he or she has a diagnosis with a high probability of resulting in a significant developmental delay as determined by a panel of physicians. All diagnoses are reviewed and approved by a panel and Early intervention Colorado maintains the database of all diagnosed conditions.
*If your computer's email program does not open an email when you select the GetStartedwithEI@state.co.us link, please copy and paste the email address into your email provider's program.
